Hand-Colored Engraving Normanton Park 1818 - John Preston Neale (British, 1780-1847), antique hand-colored engraving titled ”Normanton Park Rutlandshire” (England). Normanton Hall was the seat of Sir Gilbert Heathcote (British, 1652-1733), a wealthy co-founder and Governor of the Bank of England. This engraving was part of Neale's six volume set, ”Views of the Seats of Noblemen and Gentlemen in England, Wales, and Scotland”, published in London between 1818 and 1829. This engraving is surrounded by a hand-painted mat with marbleized paper accents and a dark wood frame measuring 9-7/8” x 11-7/16”. CONDITION: Not examined out of frame.
