Staffordshire ”Hen-on-Nest” Tureen, c. 1840 S 254 - Staffordshire ”Hen on Nest” Tureen, c. 1840 dish with a basketweave base. The lid is crafted in the form of a plump hen with textured feathers, cream and brown accents, and red detailing. Marked on the underside with 'S 254.' CONDITION: Minor paint wear observed on the comb and tail, with light surface wear consistent with age. No chips, cracks, or repairs visible.
