Japanese Taisho Furosaki Byobu Paper Lace Screen - Antique Japanese hinged two panel folding table screen, most likely a furosaki byobu, a specific type of table screen used for the tea ceremony, veneered and painted wood with fabric and paper ”lace” under glass, most likely Taisho Period, circa 1912-1926, 17-13/16” x 23-7/8”. CONDITION: Not examined out of framework. Wear to paint on wood framework, as well as losses to veneer, particularly at edges. Some tearing and deterioration to fabric. Please see photos.
