French 1822 Cavalry Officer Sabre 1852 - French Model 1822 light cavalry officer’s sabre with curved single-edge blade, etched and marked ”Manufacture d’armes de Châtellerault” and dated 1852. Brass hilt with three-branch guard and knuckle bow, leather-wrapped grip with wire binding, and rounded pommel. Steel scabbard with suspension rings. Guard and scabbard throat stamped with matching assembly number “1455.” Guard also bears French inspection marks. 36 inch blade, 43 1/2 inches with scabbard. **DISPLAY NOT INCLUDED**
