WWI / WWII U.S. Military Edge Weapon - World War I U.S. Model 1917 trench knife, manufactured by Plumb of Philadelphia and dated 1918, marked ”PLUMB / PHILA / 1918” on one side and ”U.S. / MOD. 1917’’ on the reverse. Double-edged spear point blade with straight crossguard and wooden grip scales secured by rivets. Accompanied by a brown leather scabbard stamped ”USMC / BOYT / 44’’, indicating Marine Corps issue, produced by Boyt Harness Company in 1944.
