19th Century Continental European Military Saber - Heavy curved steel saber blade retaining a dark blackened/oxidized surface overall, with narrow fuller running adjacent to the spine for much of the blade length. Blade exhibits a notably thick reinforced spine at the forte, tapering thinner toward the final approximately 8 inches near the tip, indicative of functional service-oriented construction. Surface shows age, oxidation, scattered pitting, and wear consistent with period use and storage. No visible blade maker or regiment markings observed. Brass officer-style hilt with pierced knuckle bow and decorative floral motifs to quillon terminals and guard. Leather-wrapped grip has been repaired/restored and is not believed original. Curved pommel with decorative backstrap. Overall configuration and blade geometry are consistent with a 19th century continental European, likely Germanic, military saber rather than a lightweight presentation sword. 29 1/2 inch blade. **DISPLAY NOT INCLUDED**
