Framed Indian Pichnai Elephant Painting on Silk - Framed Indian Pichnai painting on silk, depicting a decorated elephant in profile walking to the right. The elephant is adorned with intricate jewelry, a headdress, and a richly patterned saddlecloth in gold, blue, and red. The artwork is in a gilt and black gesso and wood frame measuring 10-1/2” x 1-1/2”. The back of the frame includes a typed label reading ”Pichnai Elephant Painting on Silk from India” and an additional oval sticker reading '”Liebermann's Luggage - Leather Goods - Gifts, Lansing - E. Lansing - Okemos.” Circa 1988-1990. CONDITION: Frame shows minor wear consistent with age, including some scuffing and small scratches. No visible damage to the silk painting or glass covering.
