Antique Metal Lantern with Glass Globe, Patent Oct 24 1851 - Antique metal ghost lantern with glass globe, marked 'PATENTED OCT 24 1851' on the base. Features decorative cutouts in the metal top and base, a hanging loop attached to the top, and a yellow wax candle visible inside the glass globe. The design is consistent with 19th-century American hurricane or barn lanterns, aligning with US Patent No. 8,356 issued to Chauncey Ferry for an 'improved lantern' on October 24, 1851.
