Early 20th century production with a 4.75-inch barrel, 9.25-inch overall length, six-shot cylinder, top-break action with automatic extraction, double-action-only mechanism, fixed sights, hinged sideplate, checkered wood grips, and butt lanyard loop. The frame bears the Tokyo Arsenal emblem, Japanese Type 26 designation, serial number, and inspection marks. Accompanied by a brown leather Japanese military-style flap holster with decorative stitching, belt fittings, interior cartridge loops, and faint interior markings. CONDITION: Metal surfaces show finish thinning, edge and high-point wear, scratches, handling marks, scattered oxidation, and gray-brown patina. Markings remain legible. Grips have scratches, dents, finish wear, and flattened checkering. Bore is exceptionally bright with strong rifling and little visible wear; action functions appropriately. Holster exhibits substantial darkening, staining, scuffing, scratches, creasing, finish loss, and edge and stitching wear; the interior cartridge loops are misshapen and heavily worn.
