Japan Type 26 9mm Revolver - Japanese Type 26 double-action-only military revolver chambered in 9mm Japanese Revolver, serial number 7482. Blued steel construction with 4.5-inch barrel, six-shot fluted cylinder, hinged top-break frame, fixed sights, checkered wood grip panels, and butt lanyard ring. The left frame bears the Japanese Type 26 designation, Tokyo arsenal emblem, and serial number. Overall length 9 inches. Adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1893, the Type 26 remained in service into the World War II period; this low four-digit serial is associated with earlier production. CONDITION: Bore is mostly bright with visible shooting wear. Metal finish shows scattered oxidation, light pitting, scratches, and handling wear. Grips show considerable wear, staining, dings, and surface loss; the right grip panel is detached and accompanied by its screw. Action is tight.
