Henry Hensche (1899-1992) was an American artist and influential teacher best known for his Cape Cod coastal landscapes and harbor scenes. A student of Charles Hawthorne, Hensche dedicated his career to the study of color and light, becoming one of the leading figures of the Cape School of Art in Provincetown, Massachusetts. His paintings are prized for their vibrant palette and expressive handling of paint, and his work is represented in numerous museums and private collections.
