Russell is a self-taught woodturner who has been creating fine wood art since 1989. Working from his studio in Linden, Virginia, he is known for transforming exotic and highly figured woods into functional works of art, allowing the natural grain and character of each piece to guide the final design. His work has been exhibited by galleries and craft organizations throughout the United States.
