Vintage ”Ouampi” Native American UO Mascot Display - Vintage double-sided wooden display depicting Ouampi, the former mascot of the University of Omaha (now the University of Nebraska at Omaha). Used during the era when the school's athletic teams were known as the Indians (1939-1971), the hand-painted cutout portrays the running mascot carrying a tomahawk in the university's distinctive mid-century style. Painted on both sides in black, red, and white, the display retains its original finish with expected age-related wear. An uncommon piece of collegiate sports memorabilia and university history from a retired mascot era. Measures 19” x 10”
