1950s Train Locomotive Motion Lamps - Econolite & - Pair of vintage 1950s motion lamps featuring the historic ”John Bull” steam locomotive, one manufactured by Econolite Corp. (copyright 1956) and the other by L.A. Goodman Manufacturing Co. (copyright 1957). Each lamp uses a rotating inner cylinder to create the illusion of a moving train when illuminated, making them classic examples of mid-century animated lighting. Both lamps illuminate. The Econolite example has a cracked lithographed shade, while the L.A. Goodman lamp shows typical age-related wear to the shade and metal base. 11” tall.
