The sign was likely used in a lumber yard, sawmill, woodworking factory, or millwork shop to designate the moulding department or storage area. Designed for overhead or projecting wall display with identical graphics on both sides. Exhibits expected age-related paint loss, wear, and oxidation consistent with long-term industrial use.
