1930s U-Select-It 5c Candy Vending Machine by Coan - Vintage U-Select-It candy vending machine manufactured by the Coan Manufacturing Company of Madison, Wisconsin, dating to the 1930s-1940s. Finished in its original cream enamel with chrome trim, this countertop or wall-mounted machine features a front glass display, 5¢ pricing plate, selection window, and manual dispensing mechanism. The machine retains its original maker's plate, coin mechanism, selection knob, delivery lever, and comes with key. An iconic example of early American automated merchandising, the U-Select-It machines were widely used in drug stores, factories, schools, and other public locations to vend candy and small packaged goods.
