Vintage Chicago Police Street Cast Iron Call Box - Vintage Chicago Police Call Box constructed of heavy cast iron and mounted on its original cast iron pedestal column. The front door features raised ”CHICAGO POLICE” lettering and opens to reveal the original Western Electric telephone assembly, retaining its handset, transmitter, internal components, and station identification plate. Includes the original key for the lock. A classic piece of Chicago municipal history, these call boxes were once installed throughout the city to provide direct communication between police officers and headquarters. Today they are highly sought-after by collectors of law enforcement memorabilia, urban history, and architectural salvage.
