Marshall Field's Christmas Window Animatronic Mice - Charming pair of large vintage animatronic mouse figures reportedly used in a Marshall Field's Christmas holiday window display during the 1980s. The whimsical characters are dressed in coordinating red and green period costumes and depicted holding sheet music, suggesting a Christmas caroling scene. Both feature oversized ears, expressive faces, fabric-covered bodies, long tails, and internal electrical mechanisms. An unusual piece of Chicago department store and holiday display history, evocative of the elaborate animated Christmas windows for which Marshall Field's was famous. Both figures are in working condition. They show expected age and display wear, including scattered soiling, discoloration, and wear to the costumes and fabric surfaces.
