Italian School Holy Family Oil Painting 18-19th C - Old Master-style oil on canvas depicting the Holy Family, with the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child while Saint Joseph appears in shadow behind them. Executed by an artist of the Italian School in the late 18th or early 19th century, the composition reflects the influence of High Renaissance devotional painting through its balanced arrangement, restrained palette, and softly modeled figures. The verso bears an old handwritten inscription that is now largely illegible, suggesting an early attribution or collection history. Housed in a period-style gilt frame with decorative black accents.
