Antique Austrian Leather Fire Brigade Helmet - Antique Austrian Freiwillige Feuerwehr Kottinghormanns Fire Brigade Helmet Antique Austrian volunteer fire brigade helmet dating to the pre-WWI era, constructed in black leather with brass fittings and a high brass comb in the Pickelhaube style. The front features an ornate brass badge reading ”Freiwillige Feuerwehr” with the town name ”Kottinghormanns”, surrounded by laurel and oak leaf decoration. Brass lion-head side fittings secure the remnants of the leather chin strap, with additional brass trim around the visor and helmet edge. The interior retains its leather liner.
