Amazing marble/alabaster sculpture of young woman by Italian sculptor Giovanni Broggi Giovanni Broggi ( Ligurno , 12 March 1853 - Milan , 1 January 1919 ) was a sculptor Italian . Sculptures of G. Broggi are really the masterpieces of late Italian Renaissance. The beauty of his womens statues may be comparable to the Madonna of Leonardo da Vinci. The subject's expression, which is frequently described as enigmatic, the monumentality of the composition, the subtle modelling of forms, were novel qualities that have contributed to the continuing fascination and study of the work.
