Rina Rotholz - BETROTHAL 18 על 25 ס״מ - Rina Rotholz, a dear family friend is a sixth-generation Israeli whose family emigrated from Portugal to Algiers in 1490 and then to Palestine in 1938. Mrs. Rotholz (nee Chelouche) is steeped in the culture arid tradition of Israel, both ancient and modern. She studied in Haifa and Beirut, as well as at the Pratt Graphic Art Center and Brooklyn Museum Art School in the United States. Her work has been exhibited in Israel, the United States, and Europe in private collections and in such major institutions as the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Rose Art Museum of Brandeis University, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Mrs. Rotholz, was commissioned by the United Nations to create the first Rosh Hashana greeting card for UNICEF in 1972. ”BETROTHAL”, created in honor of the marriage of Miss Rachel Neumark to Mr. Jonathan Herlands, is an original ”Tuilègraph”, a technique devised and perfected by Mrs. Rotholz.
