Fair plus condition. 550 grams - ”Flames in the Ashes” is a book by Rozka (Reisel) Korczak-Marla, who was a fighter and one of the leaders of the Jewish Fighting Organization (FPO) in the Vilna Ghetto during the Holocaust. The book describes the experiences of Jewish partisans who operated in the Rudniki and Narocz forests, and serves as a personal testimony of Rozka’s experiences as a fighter and leader during those difficult times. It is considered one of the earliest published Holocaust testimonies and reflects the courage and resistance of Jewish fighters. The book was originally written in Yiddish and translated into Hebrew by Binyamin Tene. It was first published in 1946 by Sifriat Poalim Publishing House, as part of the series “Decrees of 1940–1945.”
