Rare Lot: 3 Envelopes – First Day of Postal Service in Gaza Strip, 1957 Rafiah | Deir el-Balah | Khan Yunes - A rare set of three historic envelopes postmarked on the first day of opening Israeli post offices in the Gaza Strip during 1957. Includes:  • Decorative envelope with red illustration and full text: “Opening of the Rafiah Post Office – 21.1.1957”  • Two matching envelopes postmarked in Deir el-Balah and Khan Yunes (3.1.1957) Each envelope bears a 50 pruta “Festivals” series stamp (woman with torch), cancelled with bilingual (Hebrew/Latin) postal marks. An outstanding lot for collectors of Israeli postal history and Middle Eastern ephemera.
