“The Story of Jacob” – Illustrated English Children’s Book, Oxford 1936 - A rare and charming illustrated children’s book from the “Little Books of the Bible” series: The Story of Jacob by Agnes Adams, published by Oxford University Press, London, 1936. This 60-page volume features detailed black-and-white illustrations (with one color frontispiece) that accompany the biblical story of Jacob — from his early years with Esau, the dream of the ladder, meeting Rachel, wrestling the angel, and his final days in Egypt. The book is in generally good vintage condition, with signs of age and fading on the original hard red cloth cover stamped “Festival Stories” in gold.  Spine damaged. A beautiful collectible for lovers of Judaica, children’s Bible literature, and early Christian instructional texts.
