Demand Letter from Gemiluth Chesed “Tifereth Menachem Nachum” – Jerusalem, 1949 With Original Signature and Purple Stamp - Rare and historically significant letter dated 1 Tammuz 5709 (1949) from the Gemiluth Chesed Society “Tifereth Menachem Nachum” in Jerusalem, addressed to the directors of the “Ohel Torah” Yeshiva. The letter demands repayment of a 25-lira loan that was guaranteed by Rabbi Aharon Bilostotsky, father-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Shapira, on behalf of a yeshiva student. Printed on official letterhead, it bears an original handwritten signature and an oval purple ink stamp of the Free Loan Society. Very good condition: fold lines, a small filing hole, and some light stains. Dimensions: approx. 28 × 21 cm. A rare and valuable document illustrating the charitable and financial structures of Jerusalem’s yeshiva community in the early years of the State of Israel.
