Published in London in 1933, the same year Hitler rose to power, this early anti-Nazi protest piece fuses biting satirical poetry in Yiddish with striking caricature-style illustrations, mocking Hitler and the rising Nazi movement with fierce Jewish irony. The work is dedicated to Captain W. J. Webber, a British Jewish leader and prominent activist for the boycott of German goods in response to the Nazi regime’s persecution of Jews.
