This unique, non-traditional Haggadah was entirely handwritten, designed, and illustrated by Yokheved Shaivitz, and reproduced using stencil duplicating (photocopied manuscript style). The illustrations are inspired by the 14th-century Catalonian manuscript – the Sarajevo Haggadah – bringing together the aesthetics of medieval Jewish illumination and the modern educational creativity of 1970s Israel. Every page is handwritten, adorned with colorful motifs and characters drawn from the traditional Haggadah, enriched with a modern pedagogical and artistic touch.
