Stereoscope Lot – Includes Wooden Handheld Viewer and 4 Boxes of Original Stereoscopic Film Slides – Early 20th Century - An exceptional vintage lot featuring a wooden and metal handheld stereoscope viewer, accompanied by four original boxes of POSITIFS STÉRÉOSCOPIQUES SUR FILM – stereoscopic slides on film. The boxes are labeled by subject: Versailles, Pompeii, Parc Zoologique (1 & 2). The transparent film slides were designed to be viewed with a stereoscope, creating vivid three-dimensional images. These are not printed on cardboard and are not hand-colored. A beautiful collectible item for enthusiasts of early photography, optical equipment, and historical visual media. Condition: Very good – viewer in working condition; boxes and film slides show signs of age but are well-preserved.
