Quite good condition. 1.300 k”g - eshiva Rabbi Moses Soloveichik – Chicago Founded: late 1920s–early 1930s Founder and namesake: Rabbi Moshe (Moses) Soloveichik (1879–1941), the renowned Lithuanian-born Talmudist, son of Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik of Brisk, and father of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik. 🏫 Background and Purpose After immigrating to the United States in 1929, Rabbi Moses Soloveichik was invited to head the Hebrew Theological College (HTC) in Chicago — sometimes called “Beis HaMidrash LeRabbonim.” Alongside that institution, a student-run yeshiva division developed under his personal influence. The name “Yeshiva Rabbi Moses Soloveichik” was used after his death (1941) by his students and followers in Chicago who wanted to perpetuate his approach to Torah learning and discipline in a more traditional Lithuanian style, distinct from the Americanized Jewish schools of the time.
