This edition preserves the ancient Ashkenazic rite of Alsace (Alzuz), a region formerly in Germany and now in France, known as a core origin of the Ashkenaz tradition. This volume contains a rare endorsement (haskama) by Rabbi Jedidiah Tiah Weil, the son of the famed Korban Netanel and a prominent rabbinic authority in 18th-century Central Europe.
