Collection of Letters and Document – Rabbi Israel Meir Zachariash (1914–2012), Disciple of the Chazon Ish - A rare and historically significant collection of letters and an official certificate addressed to or relating to Rabbi Israel Meir Zachariash (1914–2012) – one of the foremost disciples of the Chazon Ish, described by contemporaries as “one of the great geniuses of Israel, with exceptional mastery of Talmud and Halachic sources.” The collection includes: • Two handwritten Hebrew letters from the 1950s, sent to Rabbi Zachariash, bearing original Israeli postal stamps and addresses in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak. • An official certificate from the Mesifta Talmudical Seminary, Brooklyn, New York (dated December 6, 1950), confirming his studies there from 1945 until his departure to Israel in October 1950. An exceptional archival grouping documenting the early postwar transatlantic rabbinic connections and the emergence of Torah scholarship in the nascent State of Israel.
