Rabbi Binyamin Mendelsohn – Original Handwritten “Shtar Shlishut” (Debt & Land Agreement), Kfar Ata, 1935 - Rare original autograph document handwritten and signed by Rabbi Binyamin Mendelsohn, Rabbi of Kfar Ata (now Kiryat Ata), dated 1935 (5696). The letter, titled “Shtar Shlishut”, concerns the arrangement of debts, liens, and land sales between several individuals — Mr. Meir Nussbaum, Mr. Bruto Hogen, Mr. Hapsel, Mr. Roizenblum, and Mr. Zablevski. Written on the rabbi’s official letterhead: “Rabbi Binyamin Mendelsohn – Rabbi of Kfar Ata, Half Jubilee – P.O. Haifa, Eretz Israel”, and bearing his original purple ink rabbinical stamp and autograph signature. At the bottom, there are pencil notes and an English signature, likely of a secondary participant or witness to the transaction. A historically significant document both for its rabbinical-legal content and for its association with Rabbi Binyamin Mendelsohn, a leading figure of the pre-state religious community and later Rabbi of Komemiyut.
