A rare souvenir album containing authentic dried flowers from the Holy Land, accompanied by printed descriptive pages in Hebrew and German providing geographical, historical, and demographic information about various locations in Palestine, including population statistics by religion. Such albums were produced in Jerusalem in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries for pilgrims, travelers, and collectors, representing a unique combination of botanical specimen, travel souvenir, and early Palestine documentation. Abraham Moses Luncz (1854–1918) was one of the leading scholars and publishers in Jerusalem, and his works are considered foundational in the historical geography of Palestine. Original dried-flower albums survive in relatively limited numbers and are highly sought after among collectors of Holy Land memorabilia, early tourism artifacts, botanical history, and Judaica.
