PETRUS 1986 - Wine 1986 Bordeaux Pomerol Strong ruby garnet, good color depth, subtle brightening at the edge. Fine black wild berry confit, underlined with nuances of Perigord truffles and a touch of candied violets, dark heart cherries and tobacco-like precious wood. Tight on the palate, very tightly structured, fine extract sweetness, firm, somewhat edgy tannins, good acid structure, a wine that still seems very youthful from the large bottles, an imperious Pétrus, characterized by minerality and spice as well as good future potential.
