Pietro Santi Bartoli - Pietro Santi Bartoli - Trajan's Column erected by the Senate and the Roman people to the Emperor Trajan Augustus in his forum in Rome. Carved with the history of the Dacian war, the first and second expedition, and victory against King Decebalus, 1673. Rome, with diligent care, and expense reduced to perfection and brought to light by Gio. Giacomo de Rossi from his prints in Rome, alla Pace, sd (1673 probably). In folio. Full parchment binding with gold trim. Spine with 5 raised bands and with gold titles and decorations. Red edges. Ex libris on the inside covers. Framed frontispiece. The volume consists of a collection of 119 numbered chalcographic plates. There are 7 unnumbered plates, one of which is folded. Includes in a separate volume: Admiranda Romanarum antiquitatum , Rome, ad Templum pacis suis sumptibus, ac typis edidit Ioannes Iacobus de Rubeis, sd (probably 1673). In folio.
