Victor Hugo - Victor Hugo - Autographed and signed letter, 1850. Autographed and signed letter, 95x115 mm, contains a text that says: ”Here is a note as you said, I want to send it when I receive your letter and I embrace you with all my fatherly soul. V. Hugo” This note has a very affectionate and intimate tone, probably addressed to one of his children (it could be Léopoldine, Charles, Françoi-Victor or Adèle). The term ”father's soul” is touching and highlights the more tender side of Hugo, which often emerges also in his private and family writings.
