Traditional Costumes of the Kingdom of Naples, 1830 - Collection of five pencil and watercolour drawings on heavy paper, each measuring 288 x 222 mm. Each work is signed and accompanied, at the bottom, by a description in pen and brown Indian ink. Each work is partially mounted on a support passe-partout. The sheets have scattered browning and signs of use. Good overall condition. The signature bears the name ”De Vito”, most likely attributable to Michela De Vito, active around 1830. The subjects represent traditional costumes of the Kingdom of Naples and include: Neapolitan costume of the village of Chiaja, Costume of Sorrento, Province of Naples, Neapolitan costume of the lower classes, Costume of Carafagreci, Province of Calabria in the Kingdom of Naples, Costume of Procida, Province of Naples.
