Erzegebirge - Erzegebirge (1800s) - ,. An exceptionally rare military band set featuring eight Prussian soldiers from the early 19th century, crafted from hand-carved and hand-painted wood. They feature superb uniform details: white coats, faux-leather cross-belts, black boots, and the era's characteristic *Tschapska* headdress. Each figure carries a side-sword and a musical instrument—such as a trumpet, cymbals, drum, or flute—alongside the bandleader (specifically the drum major with his baton) and the standard-bearer. Original period figures, produced in the town of Erzgebirge, Germany, in the first half of the 19th century. This is a truly rare set, with each soldier measuring approximately 11 cm tall. In excellent condition. PROVENANCE EXHIBITIONS LITERATURE
