Roman Master, first half of the 17th century - Still life with fruit and kitchen utensils - The painting depicts a rich still life with fruit and kitchen utensils on a stone ledge. Six bright yellow-red apples on the right contrast with the dark stone, while strawberries lie on a porcelain plate on the left. Above them are a brass sieve and a copper vessel. On the right, plums rest on leaves, placed on the drum of a column. The whole scene is enlivened by a butterfly hovering in the upper center of the painting. The masterful play of light and detailed execution add depth and atmosphere to the painting. Oil on canvas , 49 x 72.5 cm.
