16.49CT TANZANITE & 2.81CTW DIAMOND 18K GOLD RING
One electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring. The featured tanzanite is set within a tiered diamond bezel, supported by an elaborate lattice under gallery, completed by a two and-half millimeter wide band. Bright polish finish. Identified with markings of "18K". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set rectangular cushion mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 16.80 x 12.10 x 10.10mm, approximate weight of 16.49ct. Clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, strong, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 6/5), cut is very good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded loose prior to setting in the GIA Laboratory, Report # 2185804421. The GIA report is attached. Colored Stone Grading Report Attached. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, and green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Forty-Two channel set baguette cut diamonds, measuring 2.00 x 1.50 x 1.28mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 42 Stones = 1.21ctw. Graded in the setting. Clarity VVS-1 to VS-1 Color G - I Sixty prong and bead set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 3.00 - 1.50 x 1.35mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 60 Stones = 1.60ctw. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1 Color G - I Total Weight of Colored Stones 16.49ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 2.81ctw. Total Weight of Ring 17.20 gm Stone Type: Tanzanite Weight: 17.20 Grams Size: US 6 Condition: New.
