ANCIENT 260 MILLION YEAR 24.5” MESOSAURUS FOSSIL - Ancient near complete to complete ~260 million year old Permian period 24.50” Mesosaurus fossil in sedimentary rock. Mandible does not appear to be visible but may be under the top of the snout. Mesosaurus is an extinct genus of reptile from the Early Permian of southern Africa and South America. Along with it, the genera Brazilosaurus and Stereosternum, it is a member of the family Mesosauridae and the order Mesosauria. Size: 31.00” X 15.50” Condition: Well preserved, see images for details.
