Pre-philately. Letter written in Coimbra, mark CBR 6 in black (R5), not dated (known mark from October 1821 to August 1823), handwritten postage of 50 reis, destined for Cabeceiras de Basto. The post office in Coimbra also inscribed in the upper left corner, Basto, as well as on the back ”Cabeceiras de Basto”, from where it was sent to Arco de Baúlhe.
