Postal history. Pre-philately. 1841. The precursor dated VIANA do MINHO. Letter sent from Viana on 20.10.1841 to Valença, marked with (VCT7 rar 6) postage of 20 reis. It also has on the back the precursor mark dated 20/10, used in Viana from 06.1841 to 03.1842. (Rare 8). It was an attempt to introduce a date mark, chronologically the 3rd, following the marks used in Lisbon and Porto. MB and MR €150
