Postal history. Pre-philately Macau. Letter written to “On board, 27.6.1822 of the brig Temerário”, arrived from Lisbon and Timor on 5.1.1822 and addressed to Felix Vicente Coimbra, “in your house”, regarding the appointment of the first pilot of the brig, due to the absence of its current first pilot. The letter was delivered to the registry office for identification of the signatures, later confirmed by the Ouvidor Miguel de Arriaga Brun da Silveira, who signed and dated, Macao 26.6.1822. Felix Vicente Coimbra was at the time the administrator of the Maritime Mail of Macau. Notable historical document
