Portuguese India 1923 cover from Porvorim to Bombay addressed to Sir J.E.B. (Ernest) Hotson. J.E.B. Hotson was the Governor of the Presidency of Bombay. Franking includes a block of 4 of the overprinted 1 1/2 reis on 2 reis black Ceres issue (CE 322). CE 322 was intended as a newspaper stamp, but in a block of 4 makes up the Bombay postal rate. “Nova-Goa” transit postmark and a partial Byculla (Bombay) receiving postmark. Very scarce on cover.
