Lisbon * Marks of the English postmaster in Lisbon – On the envelope, LF LX1 in a letter from Lisbon (14.05.36) to Paris (04.06.36) via England to the attention of an English forwarder in London, having paid on arrival in London (30.05.36) by the forwarder the English postage of 3s/6d (handwritten in red) for the sea route to London. On re-shipment from London (01.06.36) to Paris the forwarder paid 1s/6d (handwritten in sepia) for the sea postage to France. On arrival in Paris the French land postage of 28 decimes was paid, handwritten in sepia. Well preserved copy.
