Port. India 1945 registered commercial cover from Nova-Goa to Belgaum and then reused and resent from Belgaum to Bombay, franked with Imperio issue 1 tanga x 8 (Mf# 353) Note: at least two 1 tanga stamps are under the Bombay address label. Registration number in pencil on the front. The cover arrived in Belgaum and was reused and redirected to Bombay with British India King George VI issues (1 Anna x 4). The envelope was likely censored but without the usual Mf#nsor markings. The octagonal “G 2” is a very late WWII Mf#nsor mark. Indistinct Belgaum postmarks on the back and tying the British India stamps dated August 25th, 1945. Kalbadevi Bombay arrival CDS on the back. Heavily toned with damage right. VERY UNUSUAL.
