Luis, embossed, sent from São Vicente, Cape Verde on August 27, 1884, by a crew member of a German packet ship anchored in “Porto Grande”, via London on September 9, to Karlsruhe, Germany. A Portuguese stationery, accepted by the São Vicente post office. Cape Verde postal stationery began circulating on January 1, 1885. Very rare and in very good condition.
