Letter written in Philadelphia on December 30, 1828, carried by hand to Funchal, where FWA John Oliveira delivered it to the post office on February 18, marked MADEIRA in black, and postage of 40 reis applied, to which 40 reis were added in Lisbon for the journey to Porto. Limited forwarding from the USA to Portugal via Madeira.
